The 59308A Timing Generator provides pacing and timing signals output for remote use via the Interface Bus, or on rear panel BNC

It has two output ranges with maximums of 9V or 99V, and the DS3 has four overlapping decade ranges providing maximums of 32 μA, 320 μA, 3.2 mA , and 32 mA. All ranges are continuously adjustable by a calibrated multi-turn output control and the polarity of the output can be reversed by a toggle switch.
Current is drawn from the batteries only when delivering an output pulse, minimizing the drain on them. The maximum current drain is 30 mA plus the load current. These instruments have nonconductive enclosures and may be mounted on a metal mounting frame without connecting the internal circuits to ground. A single shot button is provided which can be operated at all times irrespective of the trigger input.

Internal battery
The DG2A Train Delay Generator is an ideal instrument for electrophysiological recordings requiring pulsed stimulation of samples. It is especially useful for use with our DS2A Isolated Stimulator which has its own pulse width control.
The unit features Rate/Frequency control spanning 3 full decades, and selection of single or twin pulses with 3 decade control of the inter-pulse delay. A single shot button is fitted to supply pulses on demand (when the oscillator is off) or in addition to the repetitive stimuli (when the oscillator is on). The oscillator (frequency generator) can be switched to free-run, off, or on while the switch is held.
A SYNC output socket is available for triggering recording devices. The OUT output can be selected as either the non-delayed pulse, the delayed pulse, or both (twin) pulses.
The instrument is powered by an internal 9 volt battery (PP3 - 6R61 style), but can also be powered by an external calculator-style plug-in power supply (not supplied).
